The EVP V-Flow Silicone Intake Boot is a high-efficiency performance upgrade designed to replace the restrictive factory intake hose on the Can-Am Maverick X3. By eliminating the "accordion" style ribs of the OEM part, the V-Flow provides a smooth, laminar transition for air traveling from the airbox to the turbocharger compressor.
Reducing turbulence at the turbo inlet allows the compressor to operate at maximum efficiency, resulting in improved throttle response and consistent power delivery throughout the RPM range.
Performance & Engineering Features
-
Laminar Airflow: Smooth internal bore minimizes air turbulence, ensuring the turbocharger receives a steady, high-velocity air supply.
-
Maximized Efficiency: By reducing intake restriction, the turbocharger can reach target boost levels more efficiently with less parasitic drag.
-
Premium Construction: Manufactured from high-temp, reinforced silicone that resists collapsing under high vacuum—a common failure point in stock rubber hoses.
-
OEM Filtration Integrity: Designed to work seamlessly with the original Donaldson filtration system, maintaining factory-grade engine protection while improving flow.
Installation & Compatibility
-
Direct Fit: Replaces the OEM accordion-style intake boot without the need for additional modifications.
-
Vehicle Fitment: Compatible with Maverick X3 Turbo models utilizing the factory airbox.
-
Stealth Upgrade: Provides a clean, professional appearance in the engine bay while delivering measurable performance benefits.
| Feature | EVP V-Flow Silicone Boot | OEM Intake Hose |
| Internal Surface | Smooth / Gradual Transition | Ribbed / Accordion Style |
| Airflow Profile | Low Turbulence (V-Flow) | High Turbulence |
| Material | Reinforced Silicone | Standard Rubber |
| Turbo Efficiency | Optimized | Restrictive |
Technical Note: This intake boot is an excellent supporting modification for tuned vehicles or those running high-flow air filters, as it removes the final "bottleneck" between the filter and the turbocharger.
