The EVP High Flow Intake (HFI) Kit is a critical performance upgrade for the Can-Am Maverick R, designed to eliminate the airflow bottlenecks inherent in the factory Donaldson-style airbox. By relocating the filter and smoothing the intake path, this kit allows the turbocharger to breathe more efficiently, resulting in faster spooling and massive power gains—up to 23 WHP at 9000 RPM when paired with the EVP X85 DCT+ tune and full exhaust.
Performance & Engineering
The factory intake tube is too short to properly stabilize airflow before it hits the turbo compressor wheel. The EVP HFI solves this through several key mechanical improvements:

High-Pressure Zone Placement: The filter is positioned within the high-pressure area of the OEM intercooler ducting. It is fully compatible with both the factory roof scoop and firewall-vented ducting.

Integrated Ram Air Venturi: This system provides a smooth, non-turbulent transition into the turbocharger, which directly increases compressor efficiency and reduces lag.

Double the Filtration: The USA-manufactured filter features 2x the filtration media of the OEM filter, providing superior protection without the restriction of a smaller element.

Reinforced Construction: The oversized silicone connector hose is wire-reinforced to ensure it maintains its shape and diameter even under the massive vacuum created by high-boost tunes at high RPMs.

Technical Note: The 23 WHP gain was achieved on a race-spec X85 tune with raised rev limits and a full EVP exhaust. While gains on a standard tune will be lower, the improvement in turbo spool and throttle response is noticeable across all power levels.
Pro Tip: If you are planning to upgrade to the P47-400 Turbo System, this intake is a mandatory foundation to ensure you aren't "choking" the larger turbo's increased airflow demands.
